My Wage Poem and How We Decide To Be Underpaid

decide-underpaid

Hey Wonderful!
Thanks for tuning in, today we will be talking about how some people choose to be underpaid, because they do not have the courage to ask for more. Hope you enjoy and that you dare to ask FOR more for yourself. Don’t settle, and start asking, because creating wealth in your life is completely possible with the right mindset, attitude, and right habits. Here is the poem I refer to during the podcast.
My Wage

I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store;

For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

I worked for a menial’s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have paid.
